The next experiment was to use both words and images. Again the computer randomizes the two sets, presenting one phrase and one image at the same time. They can be thought of as being in subject/predicate form as well. I used a basic scene from life (getting up in the morning) and first-person stream-of-conscious prose to create a narrative that had no beginning middle or end. This is done by making a comment and then writing an ellipsis, (…) leaving the phrase open to interpretation with the random bedroom image. This sentence structure also allows each phrase to be able to come before or after any other phrase, creating a narrative out of a fixed set of elements that is different every time it is watched.
